For a system to function, almost all of the components should work, run and perform right. But one small and insignificant component is enough to bring down the entire system to a halt and sometimes collapse. E.g. an aeroplane, a bridge, a car, software, a building. You can correlate the same philosophy to almost any system.

Sometimes I wonder why some systems break even though it is evident that something is wrong and why it has not been addressed and fixed.

It comes down to one specific reason. Care.

By constant care and maintenance, we can make sure a system can move together. At least in most cases. It doesn't have to be daily. But nothing should go unchecked for a long time.

Caring is a personal (sometimes a group's) choice.
